EVERETT, Wash. - Zach Hamill scored a power-play goal 48 seconds into overtime, giving the Everett Silvertips a 3-2 victory over the Kamloops Blazers on Friday night in WHL action.
Kamloops forced overtime when Brock Nixon scored with 1.2 seconds remaining in regulation, on a deflected shot from the blue-line while short-handed, salvaging a point for the Blazers.
Kyle Beach added a goal, two assists and Dan Gendur also scored for Everett (3-4-0-0), which won back-to-back games for the first time this season. Leland Irving made 26 saves in goal for the Silvertips.
Travis Dunstall also scored and Justin Leclerc made 18 saves in net for the Blazers (3-3-1-0).
