Halmo scores twice, Stajcer makes 24 saves as Attack beat Otters 5-0 @NHLdotcom

OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Mike Halmo scored twice, earning first star of the game, as the Owen Sound Attack shutout the visiting Erie Otters 5-0 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.

Cameron Brace had a goal and an assist for the Attack (21-17-5), who have earned points in four straight games, while Joseph Blandisi and Kurtis Gabriel scored a goal apiece.

Scott Stajcer earned his first shutout of the season after making 24 saves for the win as Ramis Sadikov stopped 33 shots in defeat.

Owen Sound went 3 for 5 on the power play while Erie failed to score on five chances with the man advantage.

The Otters (5-34-2) have now lost seven straight games.
