Happy December, Sabres fans! The team is living out the phrase "home for the holidays" this month, by playing eight games at KeyBank Center, including a four game homestand over the next two weeks. That means plenty of opportunities to celebrate the season with our fans, and hopefully a few more wins, too!

I personally have been loving the Christmas décor around the arena - including the blue and gold tree and garlands that are up in the pavilion. Make sure you check it out!
This time of year, people are always looking for ways to help others in our community and make sure everyone has a great holiday season. We know from this year's Turkeys for Tickets drive how generous Sabres fans can be (we surpassed our goal of 2,000 birds and collected 2,369!). Becoming a Holiday Angel through our partnership with Catholic Charities is a great way to carry that giving into this month.

There are a lot of ways to help with this one. You can donate an item of your choice or a gift card, and Catholic Charities will find a family to give your gift to. Or, you and your family can choose to adopt an entire family. You will then be sent details about the family you've adopted to guide you while you're shopping for them.
Whichever way you'd like to get involved, the due date for all gifts is Wednesday, December 14. There are several locations you can bring them to that day, including KeyBank Center. Find all the details here.
Adopting families through the Holiday Angels program is a special tradition each year for our players and front office staff. We hope you can make this part of your holiday traditions, too.

This time of year, many of us also travel to visit family and celebrate the season. But some people come to Buffalo simply for medical treatment for themselves or support a loved one. The Kevin Guest House on Buffalo's medical campus, the nation's first hospitality house, gives these families a place to stay that feels like a home.
Several wives and girlfriends of Sabres players visited the restored Victorian house recently to put up Christmas decorations and prepare lunch for the guests from (716) Food and Sport. It was a really special day.

We know Sabres fans in the building and watching at home got a major kick out of our celebrity bubble race during our Thanksgiving Eve game against Detroit. If you think you can do as good as a job as Rob Ray, Brad May, Thurman Thomas, Andrew Peters, and our champion Craig Rivet, you have a chance to compete in upcoming BlueCross BlueShield Live Fearless Frenzy races throughout the season.
The winner of the tournament will be crowned our 7th Man of the Year at the end of the season. Spots are now up for auction through the experiences section of the My One Buffalo app. For more details, please visit Sabres.com/BCBSFrenzy

I had to laugh out loud while reading through my scripts for our home game against Edmonton on Tuesday, and saw that our Season Ticket Holder of the Game was named Brian Campbell.

No, it didn't turn out to be the former Sabre and current Chicago Blackhawk. But this Brian Campbell did say that he is a friend of the hockey player of the same name. Small world!

Finally, a shout out for all the Salvation Army bell ringers around town! This Sabres fan named Anna was volunteering at the Walden Galleria with her grandmother (a season ticket holder) recently and stopped me while I was doing some shopping to chat.
The Salvation Army launched the campaign last month at KeyBank Center. We are proud to support this fundraiser that helps families throughout the Buffalo area!
