WINDSOR, Ont. - Ontario Hockey League scoring leader Taylor Hall and Adam Henrique both recorded three points as the Windsor Spitfires defeated the Saginaw Spirit 4-2 on Friday night.
The Spitfires (23-3-0-0), who have sat atop the Canadian Hockey League ratings for all but one week of the season, trailed 2-1 after twenty minutes despite outshooting the Spirit 16-7. Nick Crawford and Joe Pleckatis scored for Saginaw (15-8-0-1) while Henrique replied for the Spitfires.
Henrique scored his second goal of the game and Greg Nemisz scored his 11th goal of the season to stake the Spitfires out to a 3-2 lead after two periods, and Hall notched his 19th goal of the season on a power play midway through the third to give the Spitfires some insurance.
Windsor's Andrew Engelage made just 18 saves en route to picking up his league-leading 21st win of the season while Edward Pasquale made 48 saves, many of them sensational, in a losing effort for Saginaw.
The win was the Spitfires' third in thrree games against the Spirit this season.
