New York Rangers rookie Carl Hagelin of Team Alfredsson won the Bridgestone NHL Fastest Skater competition, the first event in Saturday night's Molson Canadian NHL All-Star Skills Competition at Scotiabank Place.
Hagelin beat Ottawa rookie Colin Greening in the final, a match between the two players with the best times. Hagelin became the second straight rookie to win the fastest skater competition. Michael Grabner of the New York Islanders was the fastest skater last year.
In all, Team Alfredsson took four of the six points available in the competition.
