He may have been celebrating his 14th birthday on Thursday, but Brandon "Taz" Niederauer is no rookie.

The veteran of "School of Rock The Musical" on Broadway has been playing guitar for most of his life. His rock credentials include playing with Slash, Gregg Allman, Buddy Guy, Stevie Nicks, Dweezil Zappa and Lady Gaga, among others.

So you weren't going to get any cold feet from the teenager playing the national anthem before the Philadelphia Flyers' game against the New Jersey Devils at the Prudential Center.

Tweet from @NJDevils: ICYMI: Check out Taz @NiederauerMusic's epic rendition of the national anthem that took place prior to #PHIvsNJD! Happy 14th Birthday Taz!

In fact, the crowd was treated to an original and stylized version of the "Star-Spangled Banner," impressive for a guitarist of any age.
