Guelph Storm goaltender Thomas McCollum named OHL player of week @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Guelph Storm goaltender Thomas McCollum was named the Ontario Hockey League's player of the week Tuesday after posting a 2-0 record with a 0.50 goals-against average and .987 save percentage.

McCollum made 28 saves in a 3-0 road win over Sarnia to start the week and stopped 46 shots in a 2-1 victory at Kitchener on Saturday.

The 18-year-old from Sanborn, N.Y., is 18-11-3-3 with a 2.52 GAA and .913 save percentage in 36 games. He was the OHL's top-rated goaltending prospect in the mid-term rankings for the 2008 NHL draft.
