Guelph drops second straight on the weekend in 4-1 loss to Ottawa @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA - It has been a weekend to forget for the Guelph Storm.

After starting the season with five straight wins, Guelph posted two losses over the weekend including a 4-1 defeat at the hands of the Ottawa 67s in Ontario Hockey League action Sunday afternoon.

The game was 2-1 until Corey Cowick added two insurance goals for Ottawa, including an empty-netter late in the third period to put the game out of reach.

Thomas Nesbitt scored the winner and Tyler Toffoli opened the scoring for the 67s (4-3-0-0).

Luke Pither scored the lone goal for the Storm (5-2-0-0).

Chris Perugini stopped 28 shots for Ottawa in the win, while Guelph netminder Jake Fischer made 32 saves.
