OWEN SOUND, Ont. - Seth Griffith scored the winning goal in the third round of the shootout as the London Knights edged the host Owen Sound Attack 6-5 on Saturday in Ontario Hockey League action.
Chris Tierney scored once and set up two more for the Knights (34-9-1), who have won four straight, Greg McKegg and Austin Watson had a goal and an assist each while Jarred Tinordi and Josh Anderson added singles.
Daniel Catenacci lead the Attack (22-18-6) offensively with a goal and two assists, Mike Halmo and Kyle Hope each had a goal and an assist as Brendan Childerley and Joseph Blandisi scored the others.
Scott Stajcer made 32 saves for the win while Tyson Teichmann allowed five goals on 27 shots before being yanked early in the third period.
Jake Patterson came in and stopped all 14 shots he faced, but picked up the loss after allowing one goal in the shootout.
London went 2 for 6 on the power play as Owen Sound scored twice on five opportunities with the man advantage.
