The legendary Wayne Gretzky joined NHL Live from a 79-degree day Dodger Stadium to discuss the 2014 Coors Light NHL Stadium Series game on Jan. 25, when the Los Angeles Kings will take on the Anaheim Ducks.
"If we can get this exact kind of weather January 25, it should lead to a wonderful day and a wonderful night," Gretzky said. "This is pretty special … it's just really so unique that the best players in the world play outdoors. It really gives our game a boost and gives people the opportunity to talk about how special our game is.
"This is even something that's completely different than that. It's going to be warm weather. You're going to see people basically in lighter jackets and sweaters, and the players are going to be comfortable on the ice. We're going to show how far how game has come, that not only can we play in the winter time, in the snow, but we can make our game work in a place like Dodger Stadium in wonderful weather."
