NEW YORK -- New York Islanders goaltender Thomas Greiss briefly had to leave Game 4 of the Eastern Conference Second Round against the Tampa Bay Lightning early in the second period when his right skate blade fell off.

Teammates helped Greiss to the bench 1:27 into the second period, and the Islanders equipment staff tried to fix the problem. But after that didn't work, Greiss was helped off the ice and went to the locker room.
He was replaced by rookie goaltender J-F Berube, who did not play during New York's first nine Stanley Cup Playoff games. Greiss returned 6:20 into the period.
