CHI@LAK: Quick stymies Raddysh in the 2nd period

To borrow a meme: Oh, you've got to be quicker than that. Especially when going against Jonathan Quick.

The Los Angeles Kings goalie may have to send that to Chicago Blackhawks forward Taylor Raddysh after his stunning stop on Thursday.
Quick went the length of the crease, did a full split and turned over his blocker hand to make an incredible save after Raddysh seemingly had an open net in the second period of their game at Crypto.com Arena.
The overhead replay is really the angle that does this one justice.
Bonus points to Quick for not getting his stick caught on Kings defenseman Troy Stecher, who got down directly in front of him trying to block the pass from Blackhawks forward Dylan Strome.
More incredible saves from the 2021-22 NHL season:
- "It might have been one of the best if not the best save I've seen in a long time, and I've been around a long time," New York Islanders coach Barry Trotz said of his goalie Ilya Sorokin's
amazing stick save
against New York Rangers forward Artemi Panarin.
- This was hardly Quick's first amazing save of the season. He proved he was aptly named with a
sequence of mind-blowing saves
against the Boston Bruins.
- Detroit Red Wings goalie Thomas Greiss went part acrobat, part scorpion
in his denial
against the Philadelphia Flyers on the doorstep and off the front end of his skate. Then, after falling to the ice facedown, Greiss batted down the Flyers' attempt put-back of the air with his leg.
- New York Islanders Semyon Varlamov won a race against time when he came up with an unbelievable
save mere milliseconds before the puck was about to cross the goal line
. With his flexibility and mobility, you would never guess Varlamov underwent two hip surgeries -- one on each side, four weeks apart -- in 2017.
- Columbus Blue Jackets goalie Elvis Merzlikins makes a pair of saves against the Hurricanes. The first one was real routine, the
second one was spectacular
.
- Washington Capitals goalie Zach Fucale loses the stick but goes full head-first dive to
deny the Minnesota Wild
in overtime.
- The New Jersey Devils just assumed they had a power play goal but Blue Jackets goalie Joonas Korpisalo
had other plans
. Should we say All Joo Needs is Glove?
- Toronto Maple Leafs goalie Jack Campbell was out there looking like an All-Star shortstop stealing a base hit with
a diving glove save
.
- This one isn't even from a goalie! Boston Bruins captain Patrice Bergeron saw his teammate on the ice and jumped in, taking one
off the midsection to stop a goal
.
- Los Angeles Kings goalie Cal Petersen with the
full extension pad save
against the New York Rangers.
- If you are unsure how Buffalo Sabres goalie Malcolm Subban
made this save against
the Pittsburgh Penguins, you are not alone. Even Subban is still uncertain.
- Quite a
sequence of events
for Dallas Stars goalie Braden Holtby against the Hurricanes. But the whole thing ended with no pucks crossing the goal line.
