Greg Nemisz's two goals power Charlotte Checkers past Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1

CHARLOTTE, N.C. - Greg Nemisz scored twice to lead the Charlotte Checkers past the Hamilton Bulldogs 2-1 on Sunday in American Hockey League action.

Drew MacIntyre made 24 saves for Charlotte (3-6-0), the minor league affiliate of the Carolina Hurricanes.

Christian Thomas replied for Hamilton (3-4-2), while Mike Condon stopped 31 shots for the Montreal Canadiens' AHL club.

Nemisz's second goal came on the power play as the Checkers went 1 for 6 with the man advantage. The Bulldogs could not convert on their four power plays.

It was an undisciplined game with Charlotte earning 45 minutes in penalties and Hamilton sustained 53 penalty minutes.
