Green tie and butterflies for Hunter's Caps debut @NHLdotcom

WASHINGTON (AP) - Dale Hunter is coaching the Washington Capitals in the only suit he owns.

At least the jacket is a wear-anywhere blue, but the tie is lime green with blue and white diagonal stripes.

Hunter was making his NHL debut behind the bench Tuesday night as the Capitals hosted the St. Louis Blues. He says he'll wear the same suit he wore as coach of the London Knights of the Ontario Hockey League. He says he can get away with it because he only has to wear it for 2 1/2 hours at a time.

Hunter played 19 seasons in the NHL but has never coached in the league. He said he had butterflies as the opening faceoff approached, saying "it's like the first game when you get traded."
