Goodrow's two goals lift Sharks past Ducks @NHLdotcom

Logan Couture scored his first preseason goal and rookie Barclay Goodrow had a pair of goals to lead the San Jose Sharks past the Anaheim Ducks 3-1 at SAP Center.

Goodrow, who signed with the Sharks as an unrestricted free agent, has scored three times in two games.

Couture opened the scoring at 11:26 of the first period by converting Jason Demers' pass for a power-play goal. Goodrow scored 2:01 later and connected for the Sharks' second power-play goal at 5:29 of the second period.

Matt Beleskey's third-period goal spoiled the shutout bid of Alex Stalock, who made 16 saves. John Gibson stopped 30 shots for the Ducks, whose parade to the penalty box gave San Jose 10 power-play opportunities.
