Gomes notches a pair as Sarnia picks up 4-2 victory over Barrie @NHLdotcom

SARNIA, Ont. - Jared Gomes scored a pair of goals, including the game winner midway through the third period, to lead the Sarnia Sting to a 4-2 win over the Barrie Colts in OHL play Friday.

Justin DiBenedetto and Matt Smyth also had goals for the Sting (4-5-0-0), which outshot the Colts 33-16 in a dominant performance. Steve Reece added two assists in the victory.

Marcus Pepe and Cory McGillis countered for the Colts (4-5-0-0).

Sarnia netminder Tomi Karhunen had an easy night, stopping 14 shots in the win.

Michael Hutchinson made 29 saves in defeat.
