Golicic scores twice to lead Hitmen to 5-3 win over Oil Kings @NHLdotcom

CALGARY - Ian Schultz and Bostjan Golicic scored goals 38 seconds apart in the third period to lead the Calgary Hitmen to a 5-3 win over the Edmonton Oil Kings in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Golicic finished the game with two goals, while Kyle Bortis and Ian Duval also scored for the Hitmen (18-8-0-2), who have gone 6-0-0-1 in their past seven games.

The Hitmen fired 55 shots on net to tie a team record set back on Sept. 25, 1995 during a 7-5 road win against the Moose Jaw Warriors.

Edmonton goalie Alex Archibald made an incredible 50 saves to keep his team in the game, while Brent Breitkreuz scored once and had an assist. Thomas Vincour and Brenden Dowd also scored for the expansion Oil Kings (10-13-1-3).

Calgary netminder Martin Jones stopped 14 of 17 shots he faced to improve his record to 9-4-0.
