Goaltender Jussi Rynnas leads Texas Stars past Toronto Marlies 3-1 @NHLdotcom

CEDAR PARK, Texas - Jussi Rynnas made 25 saves against his former team as the Texas Stars beat the Toronto Marlies 3-1 on Wednesday in American Hockey League play.

Greg Rallo and Radek Faksa scored in the first period as Texas (5-2-2) built a 2-0 lead. Brett Ritchie added some insurance with an empty-net power-play goal with 16 seconds left to play.

Spencer Abbott had the only goal for Toronto (4-5-0). Christopher Gibson stopped 34-of-36 shots in net for the Marlies.

The Stars went 2 for 7 on the power play, while Toronto was 0 for 6 with the man advantage.
