Goalie Michal Neuvirth holds off Ottawa 67's in Generals' 2-1 win @NHLdotcom

OTTAWA - Brett Parnham and James DeLory each had a goal and Michal Neuvirth stopped 46 shots to give the Oshawa Generals a 2-1 victory over the Ottawa 67's in Ontario Hockey League playoff action Tuesday.

Parnham scored on a rebound of his own initial shot early in the second and DeLory added a power-play goal with a blast from the point past 67's goaltender Adam Courchaine later in the period.

That was all the offence the Generals, who now lead the best-of-seven Eastern Conference first-round series 3-0 with a chance to wrap it up Thursday night in Ottawa, would need after some solid goaltending from Neuvirth.

"It's been the same story," 67's coach and general manager Brian Kilrea said. "We're not scoring and somehow we've got to find a way to and you're not going to find it magically. It's just got to be an internal thing."

With Courchaine on the bench in favour of an extra attacker and the 67's on the power play, Jamie McGinn finally managed to spoil Neuvirth's shutout bid with 62 seconds remaining.

Courchaine finished with 22 saves for Ottawa, which has yet to score more than two goals in any of the first three games of the series.
