Glover stops 44 shots as the Thunderbirds beat the Americans 3-1

SEATTLE - Brandon Glover stopped 44-of-45 shots, earning the game's first star, as the Seattle Thunderbirds beat the visiting Tri-City Americans 3-1 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Connor Sanvido, Roberts Lipsbergs and Riley Sheen scored for the Thunderbirds (6-5-0), who sit last in the U.S. Division, while Seth Swenson chipped in with two assists.

Tyson Dallman scored the lone goal for the Americans (9-4-2), who lost in regulation time for the first time in 10 outings.

Eric Comrie made 24 saves in a losing effort.

Seattle was unable to earn any power-play opportunities while Tri-City went 0-for-4 with the man advantage.
