The Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation and Ice Hockey in Harlem have turned #GivingTuesday into a fun competition.
The NHL Hockey Is For Everyone programs are competing in a head-to-head fundraising battle in recognition of #GivingTuesday, a global day of charity and philanthropy which will be celebrated Nov. 29.

Supporters of the
Ed Snider Youth Hockey Foundation
and
Ice Hockey in Harlem
can make contributions online, by mail or in person. The organization that raises the most money by 11:59 p.m. ET on Nov. 29 will do something special for charity and have a bit of fun at the losing organization's expense.
If Snider Hockey wins, a group of players from Ice Hockey in Harlem must wear Flyers T-shirts and share "Ice Hockey in Harlem loves the Philadelphia Flyers" on IHIH social media pages. If Ice Hockey in Harlem wins, Snider Hockey students must share their love for the New York Rangers on Snider Hockey's social media pages in Rangers gear.
"The real winners of this friendly competition will be the boys and girls of both programs who, through hockey, are learning life lessons and how to succeed in the game of life," Snider Hockey president Scott Tharp said.
Added John Sanful, executive director of Ice Hockey in Harlem, "Snider Hockey and Ice Hockey in Harlem are committed to improving the social and academic well-being of children through the sport of ice hockey. This initiative will positively impact many deserving boys and girls."
