Gilmour wins coaching debut as Kingston stuns the Bulls 5-4 in OT

KINGSTON, Ont. - Doug Gilmour celebrated a dramatic win as coach of his hometown Kingston Frontenacs on Friday night.

The Belleville Bulls scored a buzzer-beating goal to send the game to overtime, the former Toronto Maple Leafs star watched the Ontario Hockey League's last-place Frontenacs win 5-4 on a goal by Ethan Werek with 16.7 seconds left in the extra period.

Losers of nine of their past 10 games under previous coach Larry Mavety (now only the general manager), the Frontenacs (6-13-4-1) rewarded Gilmour with a win over the Eastern Conference leaders.
