Gill's power-play goal with 4:49 remaining lifts Sudbury over Brampton 4-3

BRAMPTON, Ont. - J.K. Gill's power-play goal with 4:49 remaining in the third period lifted the Sudbury Wolves to a 4-3 win over the Brampton Battalion in Ontario Hockey League action Thursday.

After a scoreless first period, Brampton (5-4-0-1) found the net at the 5:25 mark of the middle stanza when John De Gray converted a John Hughes pass for his first goal of the season.

Kyle Decoste doubled the lead for the home side at the 11:39 mark before Ryan Crouch and Jared Staal scored to tie the game 2-2 before period's end.

Peter Hermenegildo gave Sudbury its first lead of the night at 8:28 of the third before Hughes evened things up once again, striking on the man advantage at 12:43.

Sabastian Dahm was stellar in goal for Sudbury (2-8-0-0), turning aside 45 of 48 shots.
