Toronto goaltender Jean-Sebastien Giguere
left the Leafs' game in Buffalo on Wednesday after the first period with a lower-body injury.
Giguere stopped all nine shots he faced in the opening period, but was replaced by rookie James Reimer
to start the second. The Leafs said Giguere will be evaluated after the game.
“It’s different, but it might be related,” Giguere told the Toronto Star after the Leafs' 2-1 win. “I thought I was getting beyond the injury. The good thing is, as a team, we got past it.”
Giguere, who stayed on the bench, missed 11 games earlier in the season with a groin injury. He is 11-10-3 with a 2.88 goals-against average and .898 save percentage
