Miscellaneous: Shen split the 2017-18 season between Yugra Khanty-Mansiysk in the KHL and Mamonty Yugry in the MHL. He tallied two goals in 29 games with Khanty-Mansiysk and 12 goals and 14 assists for 26 points in 29 games with Mamonty. He added three goals and two assists for five points in eight playoff games. The 6-foot-1, 183-pound center skated in 46 games for Mamonty in 2016-17, when he earned a plus-16 rating and totaled 16 goals and 29 assists for 45 points in 46 games. In 2015-16, the Ufa, Russia native recorded 10 goals and eight assists for 18 points in 28 games for Khanty-Mansiysk Under-17.
