Get to Know the Two Newest LA Kings Forwards

It was an eventful week as the LA Kings picked up two young forwards off waivers, Nikita Scherbak and Brendan Liepsic.

Both players arrived in Los Angeles for pregame skate at the Toyota Sports Center on Tuesday, optimistic about what the future looked like.
"Obviously really excited, LA's a great place to be," Leipsic said.
The Kings are hoping the two of them bring youthfulness and speed to the lineup.

Leipsic, a 24-year-old from Winnipeg, made his Kings debut on Tuesday night against the Arizona Coyotes where he had four shots in his 12 minutes of ice time.
"It's been a quick adjustment, learning on the fly here, getting to know all the guys," he said.
"I thought we played a good game for the most part. We'll take the postives and move forward."

Scherbak, a 22-year-old native of Moscow, was a first round pick for the Montreal Canadiens. He was unable to compete in the game on Tuesday, but is very much looking forward to getting into the lineup.
Having fallen in love with LA when he was 10 years old, he was overjoyed to finally be able to call the city of angels home.
"I was stunned, it's been my dream. I have such great memories with the city," Scherbak said.
"God gave me an opportunity, and I could not be more excited to be with the LA Kings."

Scherbak, who has been sidelined since Nov. 20 with a lower-body injury, was activated from injured reserve by the Kings last night.
