Gaunce's two points help Mississauga defeat the Belleville Bulls @NHLdotcom

BELLEVILLE, Ont. - Defenceman Cameron Gaunce continued his strong start for the Mississauga-St. Michael's Majors, scoring the game-winner and adding an assist as Mississauga defeated the Belleville Bulls 2-1 on Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Gaunce's goal came at 15:37 of the second period. The Sudbury, Ont., native now has seven points - including four goals - in six games.

Jared Gomes also had a goal and an assist for the St. Michael's Majors (5-2-0-0), who trail the Barrie Colts by one point for the Central Division lead.

Belleville (6-3-0-0) recorded its second loss in as many nights. Cory Tanaka scored the Bulls' only goal.

Mississauga netminder Chris Carrozzi made 26 saves, while Mike Murphy stopped 31 shots for Belleville.
