Gatineau's Quesnel suspended four games for hit on Oceanic player @NHLdotcom

BOUCHERVILLE, Que. - Gatineau Olympiques forward Alexandre Quesnel was suspended for four games by the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Wednesday for a cross-check from behind on Rimouski Oceanic centre Felix Lefrancois.

Lefrancois left the ice on a stretcher after he was slammed into the boards by Quesnel in the second period of a 2-1 Oceanic win on Saturday in Rimouski.

He was taken to hospital for tests, but reports said he did not suffer serious injuries.

Quesnel got only a double minor penalty for the hit, but the league opted to suspend him after reviewing videotape of the incident.
