Gatineau Olympiques forward Pistilli named CHL player of the week @NHLdotcom

TORONTO - Forward Matthew Pistilli of the Gatineau Olympiques was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week on Wednesday.

He scored five goals and had eight assists for 13 points in three Quebec Major Junior Hockey League games last week.

Forward Justin Bernhardt of the Prince Albert Raiders was the Western Hockey League nominee. He had six points (4-2) in two games. Forward Dustin Jeffrey of the Sault Ste. Marie Greyhounds was the Ontario Hockey League nominee. He had nine points (2-7) in three games.

Olivier Roy of the Cape Breton Screaming Eagles was named CHL goaltender of the week. He won two games and a shutout last week, posting a 0.50 goals-against average and .974 save percentage.

Steve Mason of the Kitchener Rangers was the OHL nominee and Dustin Butler of the Prince Albert Raiders was the WHL nominee. Mason went 3-0 with a 1.67 GAA and .918 save percentage. Butler went 2-0 with a 1.50 GAA and .957 save percentage.
