Gaskin scores in overtime to lift the Storm overthe Sting 6-5 @NHLdotcom

SARNIA, Ont. - Stephen Gaskin scored the winning goal late in overtime as the Guelph Storm edged the Sarnia Sting 6-5 Saturday night in Ontario Hockey League action.

Scott Kosmachuk had a goal and an assist for the Storm (8-4-3) with singles going to Francis Menard, Patrick Watling, Brock McGinn and Jason Dickinson.

Brett Ritchie had 2 goals for the Sting (12-2-4), and Charlie Sarault, Craig Hottot and Domenic Alberga added singles the others.

Brandon Foote got the win stopping 31 shots.

Brandon Hope allowed 4 goals on 28 shots, and was replaced by Brandon Maxwell late in the third period. Maxwell allowed 2 goals on just 6 shots.

Both teams struggled on a number power-play chances. The Sting finished 2-for-7, while the Storm scored once on 8 opportunities.
