General Manager Steve Yzerman
has reportedly inked goalie Mathieu Garon
to a two-year contract.
Garon, who spent the last two seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets
, went 10-14-6 with a 2.72 goals-against average and .901 save percentage in 2010-11. According to TSN, Garon's deal is worth $2.6 million total.
The 33-year-old veteran backup, who has played 71 games over the last two campaigns, has spent 10 seasons in the League. In addition to the Blue Jackets, Garon also spent time with the Montreal Canadiens

and Pittsburgh Penguins
In 275 career games, he sports a 2.82 GAA and .904 save percentage.
