The Sharks host the Calgary Flames in another Pacific Division showdown as they face off in the afternoon game of Hockey Day In San Jose.
The Sharks are coming off a 2-1 overtime win over division rival Golden Knights. It was Brent Burns who tied the game up in the second period stopping his scoring drought at 15 games. Logan Couture netted the game-winning goal just 39 seconds into overtime for his second career overtime goal.
After winning a playoff-like 2-1 game in overtime over the Vegas Golden Knights on Thursday, the Sharks are continuing to push towards the playoffs. They've won six straight games to maintain their hold on second place in the Pacific Division, four points ahead of third place Los Angeles Kings. With both the Kings and Ducks playing well, it's imperative for the Sharks to continue to pick up the points as the final two weeks of the season plays out.
The Flames, on the other hand, are hanging on by a thread -

put them at a .03% chance of making the playoffs. They currently sit 11th in the Western Conference, 8 points out of the final Wild Card spot.
