Welcome to the Gameday Blog, the one-stop shop for San Jose Sharks fans on every gameday. This blog will be updated throughout the day with news, lineup information, videos, and tweets, so be sure to check back as the day goes on.
It's the game everyone's been waiting for all year. It's the biggest game of the day. It's… Sharks visiting the Hurricanes!
Super Bowl jokes aside, the San Jose Sharks are spending their Sunday morning taking on the Carolina Hurricanes. The interconference foes have already met once this season; a 5-4 overtime win by the Sharks that saw Brent Burns score the winner after the team stormed back from a 3-0 deficit. It also featured two shorthanded goals by Melker Karlsson and Barclay Goodrow.
The Sharks are coming off a 3-1 win over the Columbus Blue Jackets, their first win after the All-Star break and their first win since Joe Thornton went down with an injury. The key to the win in Columbus was having all four lines - plus the defense (we see you, Marc-Edouard Vlasic) - contributing both scoring and playing a 200 foot game.
Already the team has shown depth in scoring, with seven different players already in the double digits in goals. Two more - Marc-Edouard Vlasic and Brent Burns - are only one and two goals away from reaching that mark, respectively.

!Tale of the Tide
With no morning skate, the lineup was revealed closer to gametime than normal.
There are no changes to the lineup, save for Aaron Dell getting the start in goal after Martin Jones had handled the previous three starts.
