Game Notes: Jan. 17 vs. Ottawa

The Blues and Senators like to get their money's worth when they face each others as five of their last six encounters have required overtime with three of those heading to a shootout. In the last series installment, the Blues and Sens participated in a marathon 11-round shootout in Ottawa in which Jake Allen stopped all 11 Senators attempts while Patrik Berglund buried the lone goal for the Blues. Overall, the Blues have won four of their last eight against the Senators while earning at least a point in each game of that set (4-0-4). Coming into tonight, the Blues are carrying a 7-2-1 home record against Eastern Conference competition.

What to Watch

Patrik Berglund will become the 11th player to join the Blues' 600-game club tonight. Berglund has been on fire lately. In fact, since Dec. 15, only Columbus' Cam Atkinson and Edmonton's Patrick Maroon (10 each) have more goals than the big Swede (nine). Also look for the Blues to play a strong game in their return to St. Louis. This season, the Blues are 5-1-0 in the first home game following a road trip of at least two games. All five wins in that record have come in succession and they've outscored the opposition 21-10 in those wins.
