Q. Marty, did John [Stevens] ask you something in the third?
: He said keep playing. Everybody's playing for I'm playing, too, that's the way it is.
Q. Marty, on the line, is it a disappointing game in your career?
MARTY BIRON: The game was disappointing because we just played two great series against two really tough opponents, the top three seeds in the East in the playoffs. And played Washington the first round, which was probably one of the toughest teams to play against.
They had momentum. Montreal number one and this number two. That's tough. And we achieved good things.
Q. What happened with the play behind the net?
: Yeah, my stick got caught in there, and I didn't have time to try to get it out and push it out because the puck went to the guy. And I tried to get it out of the net. And the puck, took a weird bounce before it went back in.
Q. Are you able to look at, I know the loss is too fresh, are you able to look to him?
: I mean we know we've seen all year, this team has the ingredients in place. I could see it last summer, where they were positioning themselves and move ahead for the future. And there's different guys, veteran guys, you know first line, front line. Guys are stepping it up. And that was why we got some success and that's why we wanted to finish the season the way we did. It was hard finishing the season trying to get to the playoffs. It was a big battle. It was a big battle against Washington the first run. Montreal. I mean that's the team that can even go further.
