Gallimore scores twice to lead the Thunderbirds over the Winterhawks 6-3 @NHLdotcom

SEATTLE - Burke Gallimore scored two goals to lead the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 6-3 victory against the Portland Winterhawks on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Shea Theodore, Dave Sutter, Luke Lockhart and Chance Lund added singles to round out the Thunderbirds (9-11-0) scoring.

Taylor Peters and Charles wells each had a goal and an assist for the Winterhawks (14-8-2) while Joseph Morrow scored the other.

Calvin Pickard made 47 saves for the victory as Brendan Burke allowed all six goals against on 22 shots before being relieved by Mac Carruth in the second period.

Seattle went 0-for-6 on the power play while Portland failed to score on any of their six chances with the man advantage.
