EVERETT, Wash. - Burke Gallimore broke a tie early in the third period, leading the Seattle Thunderbirds to a 3-2 victory over the Everett Silvertips on Friday night in WHL action.
With the score tied 2-2, Gallimore scored after Everett goaltender Kent Simpson gave up a big rebound on a shot from the blue-line by Kyle Verdino.
Marcel Noebels added a pair of power-play goals, and Verdino finished with three assists for Seattle (4-4-0). Calvin Pickard earned the win in goal with 27 saves.
Everett, playing its first full game without star defenceman Ryan Murray because of a sprained ankle, twice took the lead on goals by Jari Erricson and Josh Birkholz, but was unable to hold it.
Simpson finished with 25 saves in net for the Silvertips (2-7-2).
