Gallagher's two power-play goals put Vancouver over the Silvertips 4-2 @NHLdotcom

VANCOUVER, B.C. - Brendan Gallagher scored two power-play goals including the winner as the Vancouver Giants beat the Everett Silvertips 4-2 in Western Hockey League action Friday night.

Craig Cunningham scored for Vancouver (9-3-2) at even strength while James Henry added an empty net goal. Jamie Tucker made 20 saves for the Giants.

Markus McCrea and Dale Hunt replied for Everett (10-6-0), but it was not enough to keep the Silvertips' four-game win streak alive.Thomas Heemskerk stopped 20 shots, but was pulled with a minute left in regulation time.

The victory was secured with just under 40 seconds remaining as Everett's David Musil's long clearing attempt hit Henry and went into the empty net.
