Gallagher scores two goals to lead the Giants past the Royals @NHLdotcom

VICTORIA - Brendan Gallagher had two goals and an assist as the Vancouver Giants defeated the Victoria Royals 5-3 on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.

Cain Franson, Marek Tyrdon and Austin Vetterl added singles for the Giants (10-8-1).

Kevin Sundher scored twice for the Royals (10-8-1) and Robin Soudek had a goal and an assist.

Adam Morrison made 21 saves for the victory, while Keith Hamilton stopped 27 shots in defeat.

Vancouver scored on one of five power-play opportunities as Victoria went 2-for-6 with the man advantage.
