Gallagher scores twice to lead Giants to 6-2 win over Rebels
NHL.com @NHLdotcomRED DEER, Alta. - Brendan Gallagher scored twice and Mark Segal stopped 33 shots as the Vancouver Giants beat the Red Deer Rebels 6-2 in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.
James Henry, Craig Cunningham, Garry Nunn and former Rebel Connor Redmond, with his first of the season, also scored for Vancouver (26-14-3).
Replying for Red Deer (22-16-3) were former Giant Andrej Kudrna and Cullen Morin.
Rebels netminder Kraymer Barnstable made 19 saves and teammate Darcy Kuemper allowed a power-play goal on the only shot he faced.
