fashon split

The NHL Draft, but make it fashion.

A few NHL prospects and front office personnel stepped out in statements during the 2022 Upper Deck NHL Draft at Bell Centre in Montreal on Thursday and Friday.
There were feathers, ice and more. Here are the funkiest outfits of the two-day event:
1. Isaac Howard
Howard -- the 31st overall pick, taken by the Tampa Bay Lightning -- arrived to the Draft hoping to give Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson a run for his money.
Howard wore an all-white suit, gray turtle neck and gold chain. He topped the outfit off with sunglasses and an American flag belt buckle. It looked like a modern American take on the outfit

, with a black turtleneck, chain and belt.
"I wanted to go turtle neck first. You don't see that very often," Howard

. "No better time to whip out the white suit than now and get the American belt buckle to go with it. Dress to impress, that's my memo."

Howard said his nickname is "Ice Man," hence, the icy threads.
"I think I'm the best looking guy here, so I decided to be the best dressed, too," Howard

.
2. Ty Nelson
The Seattle Kraken drafted Nelson with the 68th overall pick for his strong (hat) game.

The 18-year-old defenseman wore a bright blue fedora with navy trimming and a feather on the side. The hat was gifted to him from his billet family in New York, and it matched his new Kraken color-scheme perfectly.
3. Arizona Coyotes front office
There was a real sense of team unity when Coyotes general manager Bill Armstrong, team president Xavier Gutierrez and the rest of the front office took center stage to announce the team's pick.
All the members of the front office wore matching blue suits, white dress shirts and red ties. The inside of each jacket was lined with a red and white Coyotes pattern.
"I don't like when everybody wears different colors. So if anyone has complaints, it's on] me," Armstrong
[told ESPN

. "We're a team. We should look like one."

That was no bother for Logan Cooley, who heard his name called with the No. 3 overall pick.
On the first night of some of these guys' professional hockey careers, they've already added tallies to the points column.
Style points, that is.
