Fucale makes 44 saves, IceCaps snap three-game slide with win over Devils

ST. JOHN'S, N.L. - Zachary Fucale stopped 44 shots, including 20 in the third period, as the St. John's IceCaps held on to defeat the visiting Albany Devls 3-2 on Tuesday in American Hockey League action.

Mark MacMillan, Mark Barbeiro and Michael McCarron built up a 3-1 lead through 40 minutes for the IceCap (13-7-7), who snapped a three-game slide. Josiah Didier chipped in with two assists.

Rod Pelley scored in the first period for the Devils (16-6-3) while Corey Tropp made it a one-goal game midway through the third.

Albany's Yann Danis kicked out 28-of-31 shots in a losing cause.

Both teams went 0 for 4 on the power play.
