EVERETT, Wash. - Byron Froese had two goals and two assists, leading the Everett Silvertips to a 5-1 victory over the Spokane Chiefs on Saturday night in Western Hockey League action.
Kellan Tochkin, Tyler Maxwell and Alex Theriau also scored for Everett (34-18-3), which out-shot Spokane 43-19. Kent Simpson made 18 saves to earn the win in goal for the Silvertips, who remained tied with Portland for second place in the U.S. Division.
Kyle Beach scored for Spokane (31-20-4). James Reid stopped 27 of 32 shots in goal for the Chiefs before being pulled in the third period. Michael Tadjdeh stopped 11 of 11 in relief.
