Friday's QMJHL roundup @NHLdotcom

The Chicoutimi Sagueneens earned a point for their coach Richard Martel, but not a coveted milestone.

Cody Linteau had the only goal in the shootout as the P.E.I. Rocket disappointed the Sagueneens 4-3 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action Friday night.

A win would give Martel sole possession of the QMJHL's record for most coaching wins.

The Sagueneens' head coach tied Guy Chouinard with 569 wins last Saturday night.

Martel began his coaching career with the now-defunct St. Hyacinthe Lasers in 1993. Since then he has coached the Baie-Comeau Drakkar and the Val-d'Or Foreurs.

Chicoutimi's coach will have another crack at the record Sunday when the Sagueneens host Baie-Comeau.
