The Ottawa 67's got a big win off of their Ontario Hockey League Eastern Conference rivals Friday night.
Corey Cowick, Tyler Toffoli and Cody Lindsay each had a goal and an assist as Ottawa knocked off the Barrie Colts 6-3. The 67's are one point away from clinching the second seed in the OHL's Eastern Conference after the Kingston Frontenacs lost Friday. The Colts still need one point to lay claim to the Hamilton Spectator Trophy as the OHL regular season champions.
Peter Di Salvo started in goal for Barrie but was pulled 14 minutes into the first period after allowing three goals on 10 shots. Mavric Parks finished up in the Colts' goal turning aside 17 of 19 shots.
Ottawa got a 35-save performance from Petr Mrazek.
Elsewhere in the OHL it was Plymouth 3 Sault Ste. Marie 0; Guelph 6 Sarnia 3; Oshawa 5 Kingston 2; Kitchener 5 Erie 2; Mississauga 3 Brampton 1 and Sudbury 4 Belleville 3.
At Ottawa, Andrew Merrett and Ryan Martindale also scored for the 67's (35-23-7), while Thomas Nesbitt added an empty net goal for some insurance.
Zac Rinaldo and Matt Kennedy each had a goal and an assist for the Colts (53-9-2) and Bryan Cameron scored his 50th goal of the season.
Whalers 3 Greyhounds 0
At Plymouth, Mich., Matt Hackett stopped 25 shots as the Whalers shut out Sault Ste. Marie.
Robbie Czarnik scored twice for Plymouth (37-25-2), while Tyler Seguin's goal and two assists put him above the 100-point mark for the season.
Robin Lehner made 29 saves for the Greyhounds (34-25-5).
Storm 6 Sting 3
At Guelph, Ont., Taylor Beck had back-to-back goals and added two assists to lead the Storm past Sarnia.
Peter Holland scored twice and added an assist for Guelph (31-29-4), while Mathew Sisca and Cody McNaughton also scored.
Tyler Peters had a pair of goals and set up one other for the Sting (16-44-4), while Braden Kavaratzis added a goal.
Generals 5 Frontenacs 2
At Kingston, Ont., Jeff Brown scored two goals within a minute as Oshawa topped the Frontenacs.
Christian Thomas scored and added two assists for the Generals (23-35-5), while Scott Valentine and Boone Jenner added goals.
Derek Froats opened scoring for Kingston (32-27-4), while Corey Durocher also scored.

At Kitchener, Ont., Jeremy Morin had a natural hat trick as the Rangers dropped Erie.
Tyler Randell had the other goals for Kitchener (40-18-6).
David Shields and Mike Cazzola supplied the offence for the Otters(31-27-7).
Majors 3 Battalion 1
At Mississauga, Ont., Jordan Mayer scored a pair of goals to spark the Majors to a win over Brampton.
Ryan Lopes scored the other goal for Mississauga (40-17-6).
Sam Carrick was the lone scorer for the Battalion (24-26-14).
Wolves 4 Bulls 3
At Sudbury, Ont., Steve Reese scored twice and added an assist as the Wolves nipped Belleville.
Josh McFadden and John McFarland also had goals for Sudbury (24-33-6).
Richard Panik, Brett Mackie and Luke Judson responded for the Bulls(18-38-8).
