Franson with three points to lead the Giants over the Cougars 3-2

PRINCE GEORGE, B.C. - The Vancouver Giants scored three goals in the third period to defeat the Prince George Cougars 3-2 on Friday in Western Hockey League action.

Cain Franson led the way offensively for Vancouver (21-12-2) with a goal and two assists while Taylor Makin and Jackson Houck scored the others.

Alex Forsberg scored both goals for Prince George (12-20-2).

Adam Morrison made 19 saves for the win as Drew Owsley turned aside 30 shots in defeat.

Neither team could score on the man advantage as the Giants went 0-for-3 and the Cougars 0-for-1.
