Frankso scores shootout winner as Rockets beat Giants 4-3 @NHLdotcom

KELOWNA, B.C. - Zach Franko scored the winner in a shootout as the Kelowna Rockets edged the visiting Vancouver Giants 4-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Jesse Lees, Carter Rigby and Tanner Moar each scored for the Rockets (31-31-10), who finished the season as the sixth seed in the Western Conference.

Marek Tvrdon scored twice for the Giants (40-26-6), who secured fourth in the west, and Scott Cooke added a single goal.

Adam Brown made 31 saves for the win while Jackson Whistle turned aside 44 shots in a losing effort.

Kelowna went 1 for 5 on the power play as Vancouver failed to score on three chances with the man advantage.
