Franko scores shootout winner as the Rockets edged the Royals 4-3 @NHLdotcom

VICTORIA - Zach Franko scored the winner in a shootout as the Kelowna Rockets edged the host Victoria Royals 4-3 on Saturday in Western Hockey League action.

Carter Rigby had a goal and an assist for the Rockets (17-19-5) while Myles Bell and Brett Bulmer scored a goal each.

Hayden Rintoul, Brandon Magee and Mike Forsyth responded for the Royals (13-24-5), who have now dropped seven straight games.

Jordon Cooke made 23 saves for the win as Keith Hamilton turned aside 32 shots in defeat.

Kelowna went 2 for 4 on the power play while Victoria was 2 for 6.
