Francis has four-point night as Portland Winterhawks triple Seattle 6-2 @NHLdotcom

PORTLAND, Ore. - Chris Francis had a four-point night and Luke Walker had a three point night to lead the Portland Winterhawks over the Seattle Thunderbirds 6-2 in Western Hockey League play on Saturday night.

Francis had a goal to go with two assists on the power play and one assist on a short-handed goal. Portland (31-21-2) also got goals from Ryan Johansen, Taylor Aronson, Luca Sbisa, Troy Rutkowski and Walker.

Walker and Sbisa scored on the power play, while Johansen had the short-handed goal.

Prab Rai and Burke Gallimore both scored for Seattle (14-29-8).

Thunderbird goalie Michael Salmon made 35 saves, while Mac Carruth stopped 29 shots.
