Four-goals in the second period power American to 6-1 rout of Kamloops @NHLdotcom

KENNEWICK, Wash. - The Tri-City Americans scored four goals in the second period Friday en route to a 6-1 victory over Kamloops in the first game of their WHL best-of-seven first-round series.

Tri-City goalie Chet Pickard finished with 30 saves, while Radek Meidl, Taylor Procyshen, Tyler Schmdit and Colton Yellow Horn scored in the second period.

Jason Reese an Johnny Lazo accounted for the Americans' two goals in the third period.

Justin Leclerc finished with 36 saves for the Blazers, whose lone goal came from Mike Gauthier.
